The World Cup has guided the discussion at the meeting of the Tourism Council of Recife (Conture), on Wednesday (14), at Golden Tulip Recife Palace. In this occasion, the Secretary of Tourism of Recife, Samuel Oliveira, and the manager of Marketing & Sales of Destiny, Joao Paulo Gomes, presented their impressions of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa with particular reference to participation of the 2010 FIFA Program of Observers and the Brazil House, in Johannesburg.

The Secretary Samuel Oliveira was very impressed with the host cities, particulary with the clearness of the cities, the structure of stadiums, as the Soccer City in Johannesburg, and also the capacity to evacuate the stadiums. We saw a great commitment of Africans with the collaboration of people and the government to face the difficulties and amaze visitors. South Africa was presented as local recreational facilities, accommodation, receptive, tourism and business options, besides have a happy people said the Secretary.

During the meeting, the President of Brazilian Association of Bars and Restaurants (Abrasel national), Paulo Solmucci, presented for the members of Conture, the project Cup in the Table, which integrates the program “Bem Receber Copa”, developed by the Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with sector’s agencies, towards the professional qualification. The main objective of this project is to qualify bars and restaurants’ professionals in order to establish that become points of tourists´ support and information.
